This is for you Suraj.
I love how many effort you put into taking the pictures for my blog and that you make me laugh so hard about everything you do (like the crazy picture competition of steaks yesterday or when you speak in that special accent on purpose „Hello, hello“.) I hope we will keep on making awesome BBQ, stick to our every-5-years-must-see-plan and keep that strong connection that I really don´t have with everyone.
What do you need?
For the Butter:
- Butter, as much as you like (I usually make 150 gram, as I can use the rest as spread for whitebread)
- Fleur de Sel
- Fresh Pepper
- A half bunch of Parsley
For the Steak:
- Beef (which Steak is up to you so Filet, Rumpsteak, Entrecôte etc.)
What do you do:
For the butter:
Get the butter out of the fridge and wait until its soft. In the meantime you can cut the garlic in little pieces as well as the pasley and mix all together. Adjust some olive oil and salt & pepper.
The butter you will need lateron for the marinate, the sauce (just use it as ordinary garlic butter) and it´s awesome with white bred, like warm ciabatta.
For the steaks:
I advise you to marinate the Steaks 24 hours before grilling them (hereby they get really soft from the structure). You simple marinate them with the garlic butter, and maybe some more olive oil. If you don´t have the time, just marinate them for some minutes bevore grilling them.
Now put them for a grill about 3-4 minutes per side. If they are thin or you prefer them bloody or medium you can subtract one minute. My friend Gunnar was so sponteous to put some german beer on them, which I liked!
After the steaks are ready you just adjust some of the garlic butter. I like to eat steaks with arugula, but that´s totally up to you.
I hope this inspires you to go out and have a BBQ with your friends!! Life is beautiful, make the best out of it!
