Did you enjoy the summer? I hope you did because as time flies by we experience a shift in temperature. As Katy sang „You’re hot then you’re cold“ we put our pullovers on and off and this makes us: sick – literally. To avoid a bad cold I now present you my 5 souper soups to stay healthy.
→ NUMBER 1: BEEF BOUILLON
A bouillon should always be the basic of your soup. You can take meat (beef or chicken, and let the bones cook for 2 hours mininum!) or make a vegetarian soup. Nevertheless don’t deny yourself vegetables. The basic vegetables should always be: carrots/celery/parsley/onions (root vegetables).
→ NUMBER 2: TOMATO SOUP
A warm tomato soup is perfect for fresh summer nights (for cold tomato soup, the Gazpacho, click here) and also warm winter days. Good tomato soups are hard to find but easy to make, so I’d advise you to try my recipe.
→ NUMBER 3: GLORIOUS GARLIC SOUP
Garlic can combat sickness and prevent having a cold, so why not make soup out of it? Especially when skiing, many skiing huts offer this rich and delicious soup. Don’t hold back on the garlic and have a hot lemon-tee with ginger to finally feel better.
→ NUMBER 4: LEEK SOUP WITH CRISPY BACON
Leek as a allium vegetable is not only healthy and filling, it’s absolutely yummy if prepared well. It is related to onions and garlic and provides you with many antioxidants.
→ NUMBER 5: GINGER CARROT SOUP WITH TUNA
Ginger is, apart from garlic, the #1 vegetable for your health in times of cold. Carrots will provide you with vitamin A and will improve your vision, life expectancy and beautify your skin!
These were my souper-soups that hopefully will prevent you from any cold! Did you like it? Feel free to comment & share and if you need further inspirations scroll through my blog.
