This is for my friends.

When I reached the age where my mother did no longer forbid me to put my hand on the hotplate, I wanted to find out, if I had the chance to create more in the kitchen than burned hands.

With the years, I experimented with several different recipes. To my family’s suffering, I over salted our meals,  cooked way to much & and burned nearly everything till it was unenjoyable.  But after a while I elaborated an own, creative and individual, cooking style. I realized that I didn’t need to cook after instructions.

Cooking is much more like loving someone.
If you really want it, it’s easy.

So I always cooked intuitively, created new recipes and cooked meals in my own style. Some, I remembered from restauraunts, some from friends & some of my grandmothers. As time passed by, I started to be the „chef“ in my circle of friends, which very soon encouraged me to pursue my passion and create my own blog.

As I said, cooking is much like love – cooking alone just stops your hunger.
But cooking for or even with others makes you happy.

I hereby would like to thank my friend Fee, who as my role model, gave me the inspiration to create my own blog. You should definitely follow her blog:

But now let me thank you for your support.
I really hope this blog will grow and grow and we can inspire each other.

xxx Mien
